We had a great Family Home Evening (FHE) with Grandma Joan. She is an uber talented women. I already posted about her oil painting abilities. She is also very knowledgeable with plants and growing things. She used to grow a green house full of plants and flowers for the family to plant in their gardens. She said it was too expensive to run the greenhouse this year so she didn't. (I hope maybe she will let me help her next year.) She did plant a few peppers and basil plant seedlings. We got together and she taught us how to transplant them into the four packs. Howie was super excited to plant a garden and wanted to start some other seeds. We brought our own seeds to plant: watermelon, sunflowers, enormous pumpkins, mini pumpkins, cucumbers, okra (for tommy), broccoli, cauliflower, spinach and zucchini. We had a great night and then had a short lesson about Faith being like a little seed, how we have to nourish it and provide the appropriate conditions to have it grow. It turned out very nice. It was was to have FHE with Grandma Joan, Jim and Kevin.
