Visit From Haley

I have a lot of stuff to post updates about, including my 10k race and a visit from family. But I am waiting for Mo (hint hint) to send me my race photos before I can post it. Until then, I didn't want to forgtet to post about my visit from Haley. I haven't seen Haley since college days. She was passing through and we got together for some ice cream. It was SO good to visit with her. I wish I was better about staying in touch with friends. I will promise to do better. Olivia and Emma
Howie (who looks like he is in pain, crazy boy), Olivia and Emma
Haley and I. This is what you get when you ask your child to take the photo.

Ice cream break at Coldstones.
Haley, it was a wonderful short visit. Can't wait to do it again and next time you will have to stay over with us so it can be a longer visit. So good to see you again.

L U C K Y

A HAPPY BIRTHDAY shout out to Julie! She is one lucky girl to share her birthday with the luckiest holiday of all. Julie, we love you tons and appreciate you being the glue that holds us all together. You are usually the one calling us on our birthdays since you have an amazing memory for all of our birthdays and anniversaries! Well today, this one is for you. hApPy bIrThDaY Sister, Daughter, Wife, Aunt and Mom. We love you lots.

Top o' the Morning to You

We slept in late (what a nice holiday treat) and then mom made some treats for breakfast:

GREEN EGGS and HAM PANCAKES along with GREEN ORANGE JUICE.

It was good because I put Vanilla in just in case the green flavoring had a nasty taste. Hope you are wearing your *~green~* today.

Happy St. Patrick's Day.

Thrift Store Happiness

Howie really NEEDED (as he put it) a cowboy hat like Woody's, you know, from Toy Story. So we found this $2.00 beauty (the best option that was on the shelf) at the thrift store and after some Lysol, his new owner is Howie. The thrift store let us down to complete the ensemble, they didn't have any cowboy boots. Maybe another day.In case you weren't paying close attention, this hat comes standard issue with a real bullet bolero. For your viewing pleasure, see the closeup. Doesn't get anymore real/authentic than that!

This Week's Spread

I'm sorry if you are getting tired of these posts, but I love it! Here is this week's spread in our Bountiful Baskets:
Bananas, Kiwi, Blueberries, Asparagus, Radishes, Acorn Squash, Cucumbers, Butter Lettuce, Cabbage and Apples.
Oh, somehow the strawberries missed the photo shoot.
The Mexican pack was full of yummy goodness too. I guess I wont't list it as you can see it.
So what did we do this morning for breakfast, yes, we put our fresh blueberries in our pancakes and they were heaven.
even Livy approved, blueberry faced pancake and all!

Cornrows

Tommy's coworker Carmen braided Livy's hair for church this morning. Tommy took her into his work and then she came back like this! I thought her hair was not long enough to braid. I had no idea it was going to be cornrows! I think it is super cute, spunky and fit her attitude she had for the day.
her hair is so fine, the back started to fall out

love her face here, "what's up yo?"

Fun dress up for the day. She loved it and we loved looking at her today.
