St. George Friends

While in STG, we visited with some friends. Our weekend and time was VERY, very, very short and there was no way possible to visit all of our friends. To those of you we didn't get to see, I'm sorry.
I was very excited to get to meet this little guy: Mayson. My sweet friend Brook had her baby AFTER I had moved away and I didn't get to see him. Just look at how precious he is.
Brook you look amazing and your little guy is so so sweet. I am bummed that we live so far away now. Give him lots of kisses for me!

Emil and Kelsi's Wedding

CONGRATULATIONS Emil and Kelsi. We really enjoyed attending your wedding. Everything was so nice and enjoyable. Emil, you caught a wonderful girl. Make sure you always treat well. Kelsi, we are excited to have you in our family. Tommy is excited to have another fellow massage therapist join our clan. The weather in St. George was just beautiful for January, a warm 55 degrees! Everything was just perfect.
Look at this cute couple! Kelsi, your dress is gorgeous.
This is before the reception and while we were waiting to take a huge Rushton Family photo. Livy was playing with her shades with crazy aunt Sue and cousin Travis. Howie was just being silly sitting on top of the truck cab.

Snagged a photo of our family
Livy is obsessed with "cheers" right now. She plays it with mom everyday using her pink plastic tea set. Every time after you clank your glasses together she gets a huge smile on her face. I am not sure why she loves it so much. At the reception, she did "cheers" repeatedly with daddy and grinned ear to ear. It took a while to drink her punch because in between every sip was a repetition of "cheers".
Keli's cake was just stunning. Those are pencil thin strips of multi colored green fondant. Just stunning.
The kids crashed in the car seats on the way home. It was too short of a trip. Not enough time with family, couldn't visit all of our friends, and way way too long of a drive in the car (12 hours!), but well worth it to be there for Emil and Kelsi. We love you guys!

Vaughn Schulthies Family Reunion

January 6-10th was our immediate family reunion in McCall, Idaho. First of all, we had to find a place big enough to house us all, all 50 of us! We found this beauty:Each family had their own room with two rooms left vacant, it was pretty big. Seven bathrooms, ten bedrooms, dorm style room with lots of twin beds (we called this the orphan annie room-see the pics later), three flat screen tv's, a movie projector (my fav), game room, beautiful beautiful kitchen and lots more! It was LOVELY and perfect for our major huge clan.
We enjoyed lots of outdoor activities. These snow fun pics were just outside the lodge. So much snow and so much fun!
Then we enjoyed an outing to a nearby hot springs. It was super fun. Crazy to have snow all around you and be nice and cozy in the hot mineral water. It had five different pools, each one colder than the previous one. The kids enjoyed the third pool which had a sandy floor and was only a foot and a half deep. You can see from the pictures that it was fun to have snow and hot water existing at the same time.
Then this was an outing to the sledding hill. We had a blast, some of the party suffered major wipeouts and the older kids at heart, even a broken rib (tommy).
I {LOVE} this photo of my nephew Thayne. He is catching some serious air on a tube. There were lots of fun photos, but this one is the coolest and showed that we had a great time.
Back to the lodge. This is the dorm style room. It is in the attic and is lined with twin beds on both sides of the room. The kids had a blast sleeping in there and even more fun waking up early and each other every morning.
Downstairs had a beautiful great room and kitchen that could almost hold us all at one time. We made it work. The fireplace was cozy and nice and kept us all warm.

We spent a few days together, playing in the snow, fishing, snowmobiling, kids playing dress ups, sleeping, watching movies, it was just great to be together!
The girls even snuck in a snowmobile trip too!
Enjoying each other: card games, video games, steelhead fishing, beading,
and a whole lotta this: sneeking in naps!
We had a WONDERFUL time. Love our family and how much we like to be around each other. We didn't have everyone there, missing a few and you guys were truly missed.
