So I called Brandon up and ask if we want to swap babysitting so we can each go to the temple on Saturday. He says ya, that would be fine. Because of Bountiful Baskets, we got to Boise a lot later than we had planned on (2 hours later). Brandon and Ashley graciously watched our kids and we went to the temple. Lots of things that could go wrong did, long story for another time, and we were much later than expected getting back. On the drive back to their house, I told Tommy that I felt horrible we had been gone so long and that they probably weren't going to be able to go to the temple. I then told him that we would have to find out when Brandon's Birthday was and come watch their kids for them to have a night out. When we got back to their house, I
asked him when his birthday was so we could repay the favor. I found out it was today! I felt awful! He watched our kids on HIS birthday! We then hung out, helping them celebrate. We went for pizza and then came home again for his favorite: Oreo Ice Cream cake. The kids had so much fun playing with their new friend, Haley. It was just a perfect evening. We love hanging out with these guys. Glad they now live closer so we can.
The ice cream cake was so hard, we tried heating up the knife with the lighter.
Good times with the cousins. Love this family lots! Happy Birthday Again Brandon. We owe you big time.
