We're ready for Valentine's Day, are you?

Olivia and Howie adorned with their valentine necklace that we made last night after dinner. Easy peasy and 18 month old approved, Olivia did her own stringing. Click here for instructions.

Found the idea on the internet to use left over candy canes to make valentine suckers for Howie's preschool class.

Got in a crafty mood, make this sign the LOVE blocks pictured with the kids above. Also made the topiary, a super cute idea made out of good old felt. Easy, but pretty time consuming cutting out all the circles. The topiary was made after the heart wreath idea. My heart wreath turned out pretty good for a novice. (can't get my photos to be in order, blogger is frustrating at times). Amy at the The Idea Room had the idea. I really love her site. You should check it out. We are planning on making the play dough lollipops next, Howie's request.

Okay, these candle sticks were an idea started way back at the first of December. They looked easy enough, but boy was I wrong. Let's just say I struggled with these, they have been my achilles heel as far as crafts go. However, I finally got them done in time for Valentine's. I think I will turn them around and use the backs for 4th of July, really get the mileage out of them.Shanty2Chic has the instructions.

You inspire me! I love how crafty you are. You know, our lazer cuts fabric too...next time let me cut out your felt circles, okay? I love the wreath and want to do one myself.
OH, heavens yes! I am all about that lazer cutter! I was trying of all kinds of ways to make cutting the circles easier! Okay, trade? I have the supplies to make two more, if you cut my circles, then I will give you the materials to make your own heart! ya? I'll call you.
