Halloween 2011

HALLOWEEN! It's the most wonderful time of the year! I absolutely LOVE this holiday. It is the coolest. You get to dress up like someone else for a night. My most favorite is halloween parties. Next year I am going to have one at my house or with someone else because they are the bomb! I love ANYTHING about halloween, but probably making food spooky and gross is the best part. We spent the night the night at Trunk or Treat at the church and then hit up a few houses and called it a night. We took Crayton and Kenzie with us for the night as Maria had to work late.

Back Row: Tommy, Me, Kenzie, Ely, Sheree, Grandma Schulthies
Front Row: Livy, Sis, Brigs, Crayton and Howie

Sheree and her little band of Pirates.

Rushton Family Halloween 2011

I really loved my costume this year. Please tell me you know who I am!
Rosie the Riveter and Tommy dressed up as a military man which worked out nicely.

(Thanks Tyson for letting me borrow your work coveralls!)

Flashback to WWII

In the words of Mater: "Don't get much better (CUTER) than this!"

I really like Trunk or Treat at the church. Fun, safe, and FAST. Then we hit a few homes that we wanted to make sure to visit and we are back home. Good on nights like this, when the wind is bitter cold.

The kids hit up their dad a few times. He really is a sucker when it comes to his kids.

Livy wasn't very good at saying Trick or Treat, but she could hold her bag open. Livy fluttering her wings for some candy. Thanks Aunt Susan, Tammy, and Ruben for figuring out her language for candy. Pretty universal this night of the year.

Myself with Kacie Talbot (Hermione Granger).

Crayton the Astronaut and Kenzie the Majestic Turquoise Peacock.

They were just getting home when we had stopped at their house! We surprised Janetta. Love the look on her face.

Such a cool story behind this picture. When we got there, I asked Dee if he knew what I was and posed for him. He said "ya, You are a Riveter." Then he told us a story from when he was in WWII and met a few 'real' riveters. It was pretty cool. I love Dee. Just love him.

One stop of the night was at the Bennett's house. Julie had such a cute line up of mischievous pumpkins.

Can you see Julie? She is buried in the middle there.

At the end of the night. Last one while the kids were still behaving. After this, sugar comas!

Favorite stop: Grandma Schulthies' house.

I made the kids stand in front of paper cut outs. Mom has had these for ages. She used them when I was a kid, fond memories.

Last dramatic event for the evening was Howie and Brigs running into one another. Howie came out of it with a nice shiner. That will be a good memory.

Happy Halloween to all and to all a ghoul night!
