Mighty Frog Catchers

We had a playdate with our Friends. We walked up the trial, equipped with our butterfly net, thank you dollar store, buckets, and containers to a nice grassy area where the little stream flows by. Perfect for lunch, fun times, and of course, playing in lots of water. The kiddos were not so lucky to catch any fish, but the mighty hunters got their clutches on two jumping water frogs. They had lots of fun holding them, petting them, catching them again when they jumped out of the bucket and were very very reluctant to return them to the water when the picnic was done. Alas, the mothers are smart and made a rule that the animals stay where they live and can't come home with us. Otherwise, our homes would be overrun with amphibians with the hunting skills of the kids.
