Birthday Tribute to Mohammed

Darn, I am a day late! I made the college on Sunday so that I wouldn't forget and I somehow forgot! Sorry Mohammed! Here is a little tribute to you on your birthday to let you know how much we love the fact you are part of our family. We are glad that you take such good care of our sister and that you are so much fun to be around. Sending you warm wishes for your Birthday.....from your crazy HUGE family! Lots of Love---The Schulthies Family!

Howie Catches..........Mommy! Ouch!

Denton Rushton Reunion 4th of July Weekend

We all got together the weekend of the 4th and had a good time on our camp out. We went to Gooseberry Campground, up in the mountains above Fairview, UT. It was a lot of fun, just dusty and dirty. THere was a small lake nearby where we had fun fishing, or attempting to fish. Well, it was fun until the newly trained fisherman howie hooked mom during his cast! Check out the video for that. Here are some pics of the fun weekend.

Tommy making popcorn on the campfire. It was really yummy, too bad we only brought one.
Howie, Savannah, and Riley posing with their newly made craft necklaces.
Jim, Cynthia with baby Addison, and Lorena chilling.
Howie asked constantly the entire campout for four wheeler rides! He really enjoyed them and they were a hit with the little kids.

This photo gives you an idea of our campsite. We camp in style, this is the commons area.
Oh, and we also eat in style! Check it out: Corn on the cob! That was in addition to pulled pork sandwiches, potato salad, and watermelon! We ate like Kings while admist the trees.
Travis, Grandma Rushton, Stephanie, and Alex hanging around the campfire.

Howie with a smug look; he thought it was funny to wear his hat on the side.
Julie helping the little ones make smores.
Savannah and Riley enjoying some marshmellows.
Howie and his first time fishing. He got his own "Cars" fishing pole and was trying to figure out the casting thing. He looks like a pro in this photo.
I just liked this shot. He was so intent on learning to cast correctly.
Having a blast!

Howie and Seth. Seth was catching minos with his net. Grandpa Rushton in the background fishing.
This is our HUGE Rushton Clan. We are only missing Tiffany, Shawn, Autum, Christina, Tim, and Emil (on a mission). What a fun time. We love cousin campout.

The Long Awaited Photos of Our New Home--Part 1

It only took long enough, but here are some photos of our new home. We love it so much, so much space and it is our own space! We can't be happier right now (well I guess I could minus the non-stop kicking baby inside my stomach and this intense summer heat, but you can't have it all!).

Okay, Part 1 post will be the down stairs. Let's get started.

This is the front of our home, the outside. It is a twin home, the door you see is the neighbors, ours is behind the pilar where we are walking. Our side is the left side of the photo.
This is the back of the home, our two door garage.
Aunt Susan took these photos for us when she stopped by for a quick chat as she was passing through.
Hello, from our new home!
This is the front room, looking from the stairs towards the front door.
This is the same room, but looking at it from the kitchen. We have officially hung our first item on the walls. It took a while after moving in because we wanted our walls glazed and Tommy's friend decided to help us out! So now I can start hanging photos and shelves. See the lack of furniture?? Still waiting for our economic stimulus check to arrive....little by little, inch by inch, after we have the money, our home will get finished.
This is the dinning room with a guest bathroom on the left and a closet/storage under the stairs to the right. See no chairs??? Again, saving up for them and waiting for that darn stimulus check. Right now we are using folding chairs, but they didn't look so great in the photo :)
This is from the dinning room looking in at the kitchen. Around the side of the fridge is the little walkway to the pantry, FYI. The stove is on the left for reference.
Another view of the kitchen.
This is looking from the stove into the pantry. I have two very favorite things in this home, besides just loving our home! One is the pantry and the other is our master bathroom, but you will have to wait until Post#2 for the latter.
This view is looking from the pantry back into the kitchen.
Our lovely black appliances.
And my wonderful PANTRY! I just love it! Tommy and his dad helped build the shelves for it and I still don't have all of them in yet, but it is a work in progress. I finally have a real place to put my Cansolidator (the huge black rotation system for canned food). I have had it for two years in our little apartment taking up the guest room, but now it finally has its own space!
Well, that is all for now, I am wiped with this post, time for pregnant mom to sleep. Tune in later for Post #2, the upstairs.

Also last night....

Okay, so we ruined Howie and his sleeping schedule when we moved four times in five months, I will admit it. So the last month has been very hard getting him to sleep in his own bed/room. We thought that having such a fun room might help make it easier, but it has been a very difficult run for us. It started out Howie falling alseep with us and then we would move him to his room. Then we got so that we would stay with him in his room until he fell asleep and then sometime in the night he would sneakily end up in our bed in the morning. If I would feel him, I would make him go back into his room. Howie smartened up real quick and when he snuck into our room, would climb in on dad's side, dad would move over and howie would get to spend the night in our bed. Well, I have put my foot down and said enough is enough. Hopefully Tommy is on board with me now too. After much convincing and refusing to allow him to stay in our bed, Howie will sulkinly go to his room. His new phrase, however, is "I just want to come for a visit." so he gets to lay on our bed while we talk about the day, say prayers, and then send him to his room.

Last night he asked for a visit and I was too tired for the whole routine and said not tonight. He then said, "Please, just a little visit" and pinched his fingers together to show me what a little visit was. It was very funny and both Tommy and I started laughing.
Howie then said, "maybe I can for this much of a visit." I think he knows how to work his parents. What do you think?
