We haven't been to the temple for awhile since our Boise temple closed for renovation. We have been planning to but finally made it work this weekend. We visited Wade and Angela in Burley for the weekend and was able to go to the Twin Falls Temple (little over 2 hours away) while the kids played with their cousins. It was a pretty temple, smaller inside than it looked, but still pretty. When we got there, we were an hour and 45 mins before the next session. So we did sealings, but they went over and when we tried to make the session, they wouldn't let us in. Then, we had changed and decided to go to lunch and come back for a session (because I was determined to do a session since I haven't in months and was really counting on it!!), one of the officiators apologized saying he could have got us in the session and apologized for the new workers. We left and went to Cafe Rio for lunch and then came back and did a session. Even with all the craziness of the day, we were glad we were able to make it to the temple. There is such peace there.
A highlight for the kids was Wade's animals. Josi had just gotten her horse, Cookie, the night before and was over the hill for it. She gave that thing so much attention, it definitely wasn't lacking. She gave the kids rides and walked them all over the yard. It was fun and our kids LOVED it.
Lorien was showing us the bunnies and climbed in with it. I thought it was pretty cute.
Howie loved collecting eggs from the chickens. I am surprised the hens could lay eggs with Howie lifting the lid and checking all the time. Knowing him, he probably felt under them for eggs. He would bring them one by one into the house as he found them. He loves gathering eggs. He is getting pretty excited for his own chicken project to take off.
I love this pic of Howie and Lucy. They get along so well and are like best buds. Super cute.
A great weekend get away. We loved it and came back refreshed. Thanks Wade and Angela for watching the kids.
