I found Woody like this:
hat-less, abused and colored on. I tried to turn it into a teaching moment. I love the Toy Story movies, including the last one, Toy Story #3. I love how the toys have feelings and just want to be cared for and played with. I asked the kids if they thought Woody was happy right now with the way they had treated him? Howie piped up quickly and with a smart remark, "He sure looks happy because of his smile." We all busted into laughter because it was so very funny and because of the timing. We had to wait 10 minutes for Tommy to regain his composure. Yes, Woody's permanent per-ma-grin face wasn't helping my case.
I can't tell you how much I love magic erasers.
