Idaho Famous Potato 10K

I ran a 10k. I did it with my sister in law Maria. She was in much better shape than me. Our other sister in law Lori ran it too (with her friend Mary), but she did the 1/2 marathon! It was a huge race. I had never seen a marathon, 1/2 marathon, 10k and 5k all done at the same time. I did pretty well considering I had a lot of things stacked against me. Yesterday, I had worked planting my mom's garden and got sunburned and worn out. I had a broken toe that I taped so I could run. I hadn't run in a week because of the toe. Also, my monthly female friend visited (sorry for the TMI) yesterday too! Considering all those stumbling blocks, I did pretty darn okay. I had plans to run a 1/2 marathon this July with some friends, but I am sorry to inform them that I am not going to now. I have absolutely NO desire to run further than a 10k. Running isn't for me. I enjoy it sometimes, but this race again told me that I really don't want to go further than what I did.

Don't I just look fabulous! Great, pair me in a photo with a great looking running.

A little visit to the first aid tent. My left foot would sometimes catch and scrap the protruding bone on my right ankle. Cut myself up good.

Maria did so great for her first 10K!

Maria and I with the famous spud
The kids liked him too! They were a great support team, especially Tommy for being our photographer and kid wrangler.

Maria, Me, Lori, and Mary. Crazy runners.
