Hiking Howie

Hiking is a new found sport/hobby of ours. We love it, especially with Howie because he loves being outside and exploring in the dirt and rocks. This is our favorite, kid-friendly rock formations play heaven called Pioneer Park. It is located right above the city of St. George. These rocks are friendly to all levels of hikers. There was even one place that was is called "The Narrows". of course, not the real Narrows, that is at Zions National Park, but this small minuature version of the Narrows was fun to shuffle through. Howie really enjoys getting dirty and climbing through the "caves" and holes. As you can see, we have a really good time at this park.

It's that time of year again.......

It is that time of year in St. George, swimming weather and Howie is very happy. This is our first swimming event of the year. Tara and Ben Johnson and their girls invited us to go swimming. We had a great time and howie had a blast. He is getting pretty good with his little arm floaties. He is quite the Duck----calm on the surface, paddling like mad underneath. It was fun to watch his little feet move. We also got him a new swimming suit from Costco. It was a Nemo one which I loved because of the swim shirt, kind of like a body suit. This will help a lot in the summer time to help Howie not get sunburned. Welcome Summer!!!

HOWIE is famous!

Look what we found at the local grocery store!!! Howie's Root Beer! He is famous! Who would have known? Well, Howie, here is your claim to fame. (Funny, we looked on the bottle and found out that it is made in Orem, UT! How funny.)

Hiking in Zion National Park

We went hiking with Becky in January at Zion's National Park. She had never been there. Okay, so it was a little cold, but it was still beautiful. Check out these shots at the sun is setting. They are just amazing.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!!!!! WELCOME 2007

So we spent new years in Mesquite with Tommy's family. We played games, ate food, and really enjoyed ourselves. Around 10:00pm we pulled out the festivities (party hats, horns, glow in the dark necklaces and braclets confetti, etc.) and celebrated the new year. Then we put the children to bed and the parents played games until 4am. We were so silly. The next morning the parents were dragging and the children had so much energy. It was a lot of fun.
